The impact of self-management and asthma control level on quality of life among asthmatic patients in Saudi Arabia: a cross-sectional study

Objective: This study aimed to assess the effect of patient self-management (PSM) on asthma control and quality of life (QoL) in adults with asthma in Saudi Arabia.
Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted in Saudi Arabia among adults with physician-diagnosed asthma, aged 18 years or older. Data were collected via online questionnaires from 443 participants on their demographic characteristics, asthma control, asthma knowledge, self-management practices, and QoL. Reliability and factor analyses confirmed the psychometric properties of the questionnaire.
