Abstract

%30 of deaths in anesthesia occur during the intubation. Intubation can be achieved during deep anesthesia with

spontaneous respiration or awaken if there is an expected intubation difficulty. Usage of propofol and shorteffective

opioid provides acceptable conditions for laringoscopy and tracheal intubation without a muscle relaxant.

Remifentanil is an ideal agent for its short narcotic effect and for returning spontaneous respiration rapidly.

Induction without using a muscle relaxant can be practiced before invasive intubation procedures. For this reason;

we aimed to report our method for this patient with thyroid leiomyosarcoma and tracheal stenosis.

Key Words: Difficult Intubation, Propofol, Remifentanil.
