Lateral Approach to Spinal Anaesthesia Managemet in a Patient with Ankylosing Spondylitis: Case Report

Abstract


Ankylosing spondilitis is a chronic, painful, autoimmune seronegative spondyloarthropaty. Both airway management and neuroaxial block of patients with ankylosing spondilitis may have difficulties for anaesthetist. We aimed to present a patient with ankylosing spondilitis that was applied to spinal anaesthesia with lateral approach for total hip replacement surgery.
