Scorpion Sting in a Pregnant Woman with hemorrhagic stroke

Abstract

Scorpion envenomation is an important public health problem that can result in a wide range of clinical
effects including cardiac toxicity, respiratory failure, cerebrovascular complications (< 2% of all the
complications) are uncommon presentation of scorpion sting in Indian subcontinent. The effect of the scorpion
sting on pregnancy is unclear and very few reported cases in literature describing the effect of scorpion
sting on pregnancy and stroke . We report the case of a pregnant female who developed an intracranial
hemorrhage following a scorpion sting.
